Day 24: July 27 - Flax weaving at Manukorihi School, Marae Visit
We spent the morning at the Manukouri School, an elementary school in an area with a large Maori population. Four of us went early to spend more time with the students and learn flax weaving. Our entire group ate lunch there. Then we all visited another Marae nearby with members of the school staff and some of the children.
