Rest

We got up early and had breakfast with some of our group. I headed to the laundry for a couple of hours while Cheryl went to connect to the internet to check mail, etc. I found myself in the company of a number of our group also doing laundry.

Cheryl and I met in our room for tuna sandwiches (at last); the mayo in Australia is more like Miracle Whip in the States, but it made a good sandwich.

I guess the cold bug has finally caught up with me - I was feeling pretty tired and my face was flushed, so I decided to take advantage of the "down" time and get some rest (you know, "feed a cold and starve a fever"). I ended up sleeping most of the afternoon. It was a rainy, cold day, so it was just as well.

Cheryl and Rachel went for a walk across the bridge, which spans the bay and offers such a great view of Sydney. They took some wonderful pictures of the city, the architecture of the bridge, lots of the architectural details of the buildings, the rooftop gardens on apartment buildings, etc. Later, Linda, Rachel and Cheryl had dinner together; Cheryl brought me a fantastic chicken curry and a huge bottle of orange juice, both of which we very welcome. She takes such good care of me!

Word for the day: REST
