Fulfillment

What a great day! The Elders and many other folk were here for celebration of the Aborigines and their cultural heritage. We saw hand-made implements, crafts and baskets and observed many Aboriginal dances accompanied by the didgeridoo! It was awesome!!
The Native Americans from our group shared their backgrounds and the similarities to Aboriginal customs. They ended their presentation with a friendship dance and invited all to participate. The first to do so were the Aboriginal dancers. It was great fun! Roger led the dance - he is great! Seems to be as at home as he would be with his own people, the Kickapoo from Kansas. He and Linda and Rachel, our instructors, are all wonderful leaders - always flexible, always understanding and encouraging us all to an experience we will never forget.
This is my ideal trip to Australia — to live among the Aborigines, to be able to talk to them and share their history, their life stories and their home is exactly what I wanted to do. I never dreamed it would really happen! Thank you, Linda, Rachel and Roger!
